This 6-module home study course provides an in-depth exploration of the healing garden. It looks at ways in which a garden can be designed to create healing and harmony in our lives, contributing to emotional, mental, physical and spiritual well-being. Includes course book, The Healing Garden: a practical guide by Sue Minter.
Subjects covered include: planning and design of the healing garden; the multisensory garden; healing through colour; herbs and their healing properties; creating a herb garden; using healing plants indoors; harmony and healing in garden design; aromatherapy in the garden; essential oils and plant extracts.
Whether your goal is to create your own healing garden, or to learn more about this area generally, this course is an ideal starting point.
Our tutorial support is second-to-none! As with all Borders UK courses, The Healing Garden includes full tutorial support from an experienced and enthusiastic tutor. Students are assigned a personal tutor at the beginning of their course who will work with them all the way through. Tutors can be contacted at any time by e-mail if students have questions or problems or would simply like a chat about their studies. The course includes six tutor marked assignments, during which you will have the opportunity to design your own healing garden.
Students have up to 12 months to complete this course, allowing them to work through the modules at their own pace. On average, however, it takes students around 10 months to complete the course, based on 3 – 4 hours study time per week. Students can also purchase an extra 12 months of tutor support for just £20 if required.
